Celebrating a remarkable triumph: Samara’s successful fundraising lunch event
On Saturday 9th September, Samara Telesford, our reigning queen, hosted an Afternoon Lunch Fundraising Affair event at the Crown & Pepper restaurant, set in the heart of Croydon. We are overjoyed to report that the event was an enormous success.
The heart and soul of any successful fundraiser are the people who participate wholeheartedly. Samara’s event brought together a family orientated and compassionate community, each person driven by the common purpose of making a difference. The atmosphere was upbeat as warm smiles, laughter, and discussion filled the space.
The afternoon lunch, which served as the event's focal point, was nothing short of a gourmet pleasure. Visitors were treated to a feast for the senses, which included a 2 course Chinese meal with a cocktail.
Samara’s event had live musical and dance performances by family and friends that infused the atmosphere with an enthralling charm.
The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the KD CROSDALE FOUNDATION, whose mission is to offer educational scholarships and mentoring support to youngsters in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
