We expected our home town to be well represented and we were not disappointed. Ten ladies took their chance to be crowned the Queen and represent the Caribbean in the United Kingdom. They represented many Caribbean countries, however, their aim was the same; to be ambassador’s for the CARIBBEAN! To highlight and raise awareness of the positive contributions the Caribbean has made to UK culture and society.

The show was amazing and reflected the stunning vibrancy of the venue. Last year we were told by the manager that the entire interior of the venue had been made in Africa and transported, as a love gift, to the UK. The place is amazing to see! If you haven’t been, please go, you won’t regret it. .

The girls looked fabulous in their evening gowns and had obviously learnt their choreographed walks (by Zarah Williams who stepped in for her younger sister Yinka Williams, Shiquerra Mckie and Natina Mae-Whitter. Yinka, Shiquerra and Natina were last year’s finalists) very well as they seemed to glide across the stage.

The audience were clapping all night, encouraged by our hosts on the night; Zarah Williams and Reisz Amos, to raise it UP, UP! Indeed the energy went up and continued on its upward trajectory through the night. Our entertainers brought the roof down, so to speak. Our resident Boy Band RECORD HEADS and Solo Artist Dee Asher had Shaka Zulu rocking.

Suffice it to say, the night was a fabulous success. An event filled with style and Panache.

Our fabulous judges on the night have experience of a wide gamut of skills in the community and entertainment sectors: -Sunny Singh (Pacific Sounds Roadshow), Miss Amy Harris Willock (Reigning Miss Caribbean UK Queen); Neil Daley (Sponsors and Director of Port Royal Patties), Vaseva Qarau (Sales Manager at Wanis) and Victor Bailey (Business Man). Also, the Adjudicator was the lovely Coral Reid.

London ladies represented! Candidates performed exceptionally well on the night. Seven contestants were chosen; and will be in the final, with a chance to be crowned Miss Caribbean UK 2016.
