
RULES & REGULATIONS
Rules & Regulations for Contestants, Finalists and Title Winners
1. Eligibility
-
Age: 18–35 years old (must not exceed 35 on the date of the Grand Final).
-
Heritage: Must have Caribbean parentage, or at least one grandparent of Caribbean descent.
-
Residency: Must reside in the UK or be eligible for a UK passport.
-
Marital & Parental Status:
-
Must not be married or be pregnant during the MCUK tenure.
-
Any change in status must be reported to MCUK immediately.
-

Gender: Contestants must be natural-born female.
2. Qualifications
-
All Contestants must possess a good moral character and be emotionally sound and mentally capable of fulfilling the duties of Miss Caribbean UK (MCUK).
-
Contestants must not have any prior criminal convictions. Failure to disclose any such convictions will lead to disqualification.
-
Contestants must not have any nude, semi-nude, sexually suggestive, or otherwise inappropriate images or videos in circulation or available for publication.
-
All Contestants must avoid any conduct, both on and off-line, that could potentially harm the reputation or brand image of MCUK.
3. Conduct Expectations
-
Contestants must display professionalism, integrity, and sportsmanship at all times.
-
Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of all associated fees.

Contestants agree to the use of their name, likeness, video footage, and photographs in all MCUK promotional material.
-
Contestants must treat all MCUK staff, finalists, and volunteers with respect. Bullying, harassment, or defamation will not be tolerated.
4. Attendance, Rehearsals & Commitment
-
Mandatory participation in all official rehearsals, photoshoots, meetings, and public appearances scheduled for finalists.
-
Timeliness is required. Repeated lateness or unexplained absence may incur fines or removal from the competition.

Six weeks’ notice is required for any unavoidable absence from an official MCUK event. Failure to do so may result in:
-
Loss of sponsorship benefits, and/or
-
Disqualification.
-

MCUK reserves the right to adjust event dates, times, and locations as needed.
-
Finalists must comply promptly with all requests for biographies, images, fittings, and documentation.
5. Judging & Conduct Code
-
All judges’ decisions are final and non-negotiable.
-
Contestants and their supporters must not engage in defamatory comments about MCUK directors, staff, judges, or fellow finalists.
-
Any attempt to influence judges or tamper with results will result in disqualification.
6. Director’s Discretion
-
All matters relating to finalists, the reigning Queen, runners-up, and winner-related activities fall under the exclusive discretion of the MCUK directors.
7. Title Winners, 1st Runner-Up & 2nd Runner-Up
To preserve brand integrity and avoid Contestants transferring to competing pageant systems, the following rules apply to all crowned positions:
A. MANAGEMENT & ENDORSEMENTS

All official engagements, appearances, and partnerships for the Queen, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up are managed exclusively by MCUK for one full year.

The titleholder and runners-up must not accept any public appearances, paid engagements, or endorsements without written consent from MCUK.

No titleholder or runner-up may promote or represent another pageant system during their MCUK tenure.

Endorsements & Collaborations
• Contestants and titleholders must not participate in any sponsored promotions, endorsements, or brand collaborations in connection with Miss Caribbean UK without written permission from the organisation.
• Any pre-existing brand agreements must be declared in writing immediately upon acceptance as a finalist or winner.
• The Miss Caribbean UK name, logo, crown or title must not be used in any commercial activity without written approval.
B. RIGHTS, DUTIES & APPEARANCES

MCUK holds all rights to arrange, approve, or decline official appearances.

The reigning Queen must return the following year to crown her successor (barring exceptional circumstances).
-
Winners and runners-up must act as ambassadors of Caribbean culture and uphold the MCUK mission, values, and professionalism.
-
Titleholders must not compete in any other pageants during their active year unless permission is granted in writing.
C. CROWN, SASH & REGALIA
-
Crown and sash remain the property of the titleholder after their reign.
-
If lost, damaged, or stolen, the titleholder is responsible for any replacement costs.
-
Regalia must be worn only for MCUK-approved events and appearances.
D. PRIZES & BENEFITS
-
All prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
-
MCUK reserves the right to update, amend, or withdraw prizes if necessary.
-
If crowned individuals breach their agreement or resign, all unused prizes are forfeited.
E. GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION / TITLE REVOCATION
A contestant, finalist, titleholder, or runner-up may be removed if they:
-
Provide false information.
-
Fail to fulfil duties or repeatedly breach attendance rules.
-
Relocate outside the UK.
-
Engage in behaviour harmful to MCUK’s reputation.
-
Compete in, promote, or represent another pageant without approval.
-
Violate endorsement, conduct, or exclusivity rules.
In such cases, MCUK reserves the right to reassign titles in the order of succession.
8. Personal Appearances & Media
-
All media requests—press, TV, radio, podcasts, interviews—must be directed to:

Contestants must not speak on behalf of MCUK without prior authorisation.
-
Public posts relating to MCUK must be respectful, factual, and publicly appropriate.
9. Arbitration
-
Any disputes will be resolved through an independent, mutually agreed arbitrator.
-
Both parties will share arbitration costs equally.
-
The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding.
