***** PRESS RELEASE ***** MISS CARIBBEAN UK 2023 BEAUTY PAGEANT AT THE SHAW THEATRE, EUSTON ROAD LONDON SATURDAY 28TH October 2023 Miss Caribbean UK 2023, an event that captures the essence of Caribbean heritage and culture, received resounding acclaim from attendees and participants alike. The event, held at the renowned Shaw Theatre, was an evening brimming with elegance, cultural significance, and spectacular entertainment. The atmosphere was nothing short of fabulous, as echoed by attendees whose enthusiastic comments highlighted the event's success. "I’ve attended this show every year and I had an absolutely amazing evening," expressed one of the audience members. Another commended the show for its focus on pertinent community issues, stating, and “Loved the cultural aspect of the show. The young ladies seemed very aware of issues in the community which needed to be highlighted." The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries: High Commissioner; Her Excellency Karen-Mae Hill High Commissioner for ANTIGUA & BARBUDA, Her Excellency Ms Janet Charles Acting High Commissioner for DOMINICA and His Excellency Mr Cenio E. Lewis High Commissioner for SAINT VINCENT and the GRENADINES who all enjoyed a fantastic night of Caribbean culture and entertainment. The evening commenced with the customary and spectacular 'Carnival Round', a vibrant showcase of energy, music, and color paying homage to Caribbean traditions. The choreography, led by Grace Akurut and Gregiana Augustin, set the stage for an electrifying start to the event. Hosts Ashlea Smith and Kerry Lawrence masterfully maintained the high energy throughout the night, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees. Clayton and Jacqui Brown, the founders and organizers of Miss Caribbean UK, expressed their gratitude to the panel of judges including Amy Harris-Willock, Bertha Joseph, Marlow Morris, Florian Valmy-Devillers, and Andraya Catlyn. The judges were ably assisted by Adjudicators Deborah Asher and Gerelda Mathurin. The event's success was made possible by the support of various sponsors and contributors. Special thanks were extended to Design Essentials for sponsoring the People’s Choice votes and Eleanor Small & Denise Griffith for providing the winner’s tiaras.
