This was the first opportunity we had all had to meet up after our visit to the Grenadian high commission in the UK, on the 14th December 2017, where we enjoyed the hospitality of the Charge D’affaires Mr Samuel Sandy.
We had intended to make the arrangements for Elizabeth’s visit to Grenada (one of her prizes for winning MCUK, sponsored by SN Travel, www.sntravel.co.uk ) at the commission, but for various reasons we were unable to do so. Therefore, when we finally got together for an informal lunch and photo opportunity at our residence, we were all eager to plan what would be a fantastic trip.
Grenada, Carriacou & Petite Martinique, together known as the spice of the Caribbean, offer a safe and friendly, year round tropical escape. With a multitude of white sand beaches to sit back and relax or amazing eco sites such as, Grand Etang Lake, which comprises the crater of an extinct volcano, this 30 acre lake is buried within the Grand Etang Forest Reserve and is approximately 1740ft above sea level.
Grenada also offers; Sulphur springs, boat adventures, culinary tours, fly boarding, hiking, off-roading, snorkelling, music festivals, carnivals and much more.
With all the above to choose from, plus meeting dignitaries and making personal appearances during the course of her visit, it was an easy task to put together what should be a trip of a lifetime for anyone.
Elizabeth is now eagerly anticipating August.
