MISS CARIBBEAN UK 2017 BEAUTY PAGEANT AT THE BROADWAY

Miss Caribbean UK 2017 was Fabulous! The show this year had a classier look, was well organised and well produced. Held at the Broadway Theatre, Catford, SE London on 25.11.2017, the event was very well attended, with an energetic crowd who enjoyed a night of Caribbean culture and entertainment.

This years’ show was opened with short speeches from several of our distinguished

Caribbean High commissioners or their representatives and we would like to thank them for gracing us with their presence and also for their words of encouragement for MCUK and also the information they imparted to the community about their Caribbean Countries:

Speakers: Her Excellency Miss Janet Charles, the High Commissioner for Dominica; Antonio Joseph, Administrative & Consular Officer for Antigua and Barbuda; His Excellency Mr Samuel, Sandy, the High Commissioner for Grenada; His Excellency Mr Orville London, Commissioner for Trinidad and Tobago. Also in attendance was Guillermo Parera Lambert, Press Counsellor to the Embassy of Cuba. (Photo by: MD40 Photography)

The next segment was the spectacular ‘Carnival Round’, which showcased the energy, vibrancy, music and colour of the Caribbean, with contestants revealing one of their many talents with this fantastic opening dance section.

The Artist: Slim the comedian, Bex Grant, Aaron Soul-Anyia and the Myself UK Dance company were extremely well received by the audience and kept the energy high all through the night. Special mention to Slim, (our favourite comedian), who had people laughing until they were crying.

The event again featured a VIP reception for the sponsons, judges and Diplomatic officers from various Caribbean consulates in attendance.

We are pleased to see that year after year the number of High Commissioners accepting our invitation has increased. This validates and endorses the aims of Miss Caribbean United Kingdom, which was set up as an event to; promote all the different Caribbean countries under one umbrella. By getting this message to our communities across the UK, we hope that our objective, which is to Positively promote the Caribbean will be met.

Clayton and Jacqui Brown, the founders and organisers of Miss Caribbean UK, would like to thank our patron Mr Shaun Wallace (from the ITV programme THE CHASE), all our supporters and sponsors for their contribution in making The Miss Caribbean UK 2017 pageant, the fabulous success that it proved to be.
