Birmingham Heat

The second National heat of Miss Caribbean UK 2015 took place on the 25th July 2015, at the Red Gate Chinese Restaurant and Bar, 151 Hurst road, Birmingham. We had thought that the energy we had felt in Birmingham would be difficult to re-create, but we were wrong! Chinese and Caribbean’s united to produce a show which we could all be proud off.

Our fabulous judges on the night have experience of a wide gamut of skills in the community and entertainment sectors: Yanique Taylor - Fashion Editor of The Phoenix Newspaper, Marcia M Spence - Confidence Builder for Women in Leadership, Trish Chidzidzi – Director of Trish & Parker Estates, Tash Tash – Male model and actor and last but certainly not least, Ken Brown – Graduate Social Scientist from University of Birmingham.

Entertainment was once again headlined by Keneva O'Connor - R&B, Reggae Gospel Artist who has been inspired to write and perform by many of her life's events. We love Keneva and you will get a chance to hear her sing at the final of Miss Caribbean UK, on the 5th of December, at the Shaw Theatre, Euston. You won’t be disappointed. Hyper Hype - Recording Artist/Producer/Actor/ Radio Broadcaster/Artist Management /Club and Pageant Promoter, along with his dancers, gave an energetic and rousing performance

Birmingham ladies represented! Candidates performed exceptionally well on the night. Four contestants were chosen; and will be in the final, with a chance to be crowned Miss Caribbean UK 2015.
