Miss Caribbean (MCUK) is looking for fashion designers from the Afro-Caribbean community. The task will be to design dresses for the “Evening Gown” category for the grand finale of Miss Caribbean UK 2017 to be held in London on 25th November 2017. The event will give designers a platform to display their creations to a captive audience, plus MCUK have lined up a host of press and marketing opportunities that will help to promote your brand.
MCUK are holding an open call selection process to find the fashion designers for the Grand Finale on Sunday 2nd July 2017 from 2pm to 4pm, at HOLIDAY INN LONDON STRATFORD CITY 10a Chestnut Plaza, Westfield, Stratford City, London, E20 1GL
The Selection Panelists hail from the world of Fashion, Media, and Hair and Beauty.
MCUK was created to celebrate and promote all the Caribbean countries under one umbrella. The event uses an annual pageant to promote, educate, inspire and celebrate the historical and cultural impact of the Caribbean diaspora within the United Kingdom. The event honors the beauty, creativity and intellect of Caribbean women in an exciting pageant finale to be held in London on 25th November 2017.
Ultimately and importantly, the pageant seeks to place a greater emphasis, not just on “a pretty face”, but on a young woman who is able to demonstrate evidence of a far more holistic image of beauty - poise, personality, confidence, grace, self-worth, knowledge and a personal drive to achieve her ambitions. She would possess flair and represent the pinnacle of excellence to be crowned Miss Caribbean UK.
